Designed by architect Patrick Keeley, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is an early example of Gothic Revival design, inspired by Augustus Pugin and the Cambridge Ecclesiology movement. Construction of the Cathedral began in 1848, and its main body was complete by 1852. The building’s development, from its twin spires to its stained-glass windows, continued incrementally until 1902.
For more than 50 years, MCWB has been proud to work with the Albany Diocese on maintenance, repair, restoration, and planning at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
