The College of William & Mary, founded in 1693, is the second-oldest institution of higher education in the United States and one of its most historically significant. At the heart of its campus stand three iconic buildings—The Wren Building, The President’s House, and the Brafferton—considered among the most important colonial-era structures in the country.
As the college grew, new Colonial Revival buildings were thoughtfully added around the iconic Sunken Garden, preserving the architectural harmony of the original campus. MCWB Architects has had the honor of collaborating with William & Mary to restore and maintain its historic buildings, ensuring they remain integral to campus life for generations to come.
