Hampden-Sydney College: Kirby Field House

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Kirby Athletic Center at Hampden-Sydney College, originally built in 1978, is a three-story facility that includes Leggett Pool, the Athletic Center, and a fieldhouse/gymnasium. This project focuses on modernizing the building while introducing updated features, including:

• Refurbishing the fieldhouse with a new wood floor and the addition of five squash courts

• Creating refreshed, functional spaces for student-athletes

• Upgrading building systems, including a modernized HVAC system

These improvements aim to enhance the facility’s functionality and provide an updated, welcoming environment for athletes and visitors.
