Hughes Hall, part of Cornell University’s Law School complex, was designed by the renowned architecture firm Eggers & Higgins and completed in 1963. The building serves as a residence hall for law students, featuring dormitories, dining areas, and communal spaces.
Over time, significant masonry deterioration has led to issues affecting both the exterior and interior systems. This project focuses on restoring the building’s integrity while enhancing its overall functionality. Key improvements include:
Repairing deteriorated masonry
Enhancing energy efficiency
Refining the exterior design to better align with Myron Taylor Hall and the larger Law School complex
